Your Status Quo?

Today’s topic is short and sweet. Instead of me giving you information, I would like for you to provide us with your status. In other words, what crafting projects are you working on today?
I look forward to hearing from you!

Oh boy! I have a lot to report, actually. Today I finished up 3 baby quilts, two for a friend to give as gifts and one for a sick little boy who needs some comfort. I also have been asked to make a king quilt for the same friend… to keep for herself! :)
    .
I have a quilting business and have 4 client quilts to work on. I also have two quilts that are group gifts to a quilting friend overseas that will be quitled and bound this week as well.
    .
Then there are my personal quilting goals. I am working on a BOM at the moment, need to finish the current block so I’m ready for the next one, which will be announced soon. I’m also part of a round robin swap where I make a row of blocks for 8 different participants, one each month. I have a row to work on and send off before mid-June.
    .
I think that’s it for the moment. Oops, I forgot, DH wants me to make a Stargate SG-1 quilt to be a wallhanging in our TV room. Can you tell we’re fans of the show? :)

I just finished hand quilting a queensized Jewel Box quilt in 1930 repro fabrics. I just picked up the Grandmother’s Flower Garden that I have been hand English paper piecing for almost 2 years now.

Recently I have fallen madly and hopelessly in love with Eleanor Burns and her Quilt In A Day projects. I just purchased the Magic Vine book and interfacing to do a queen sized quilt for my SIL and EB’s book Quick Trips Around the World. I saw EB’s sister Patricia do a demonstration recently and will probably putting the GFG down again to work on these new projects.

I spent the morning having a friend help me try to get decent shots of a finished quilt. It’s not easy, and I need some really good shots to send to the designer.
Then I worked a bit on a BOM called Forgotten Farms. It’s for my 91yo dad; I tried to get the whole set at once, but I couldn’t. It’s very risky working on a BOM for a guy that age. *S*

Sadly, I’m too busy working and writing to quilt! I decided today that that is going to change. I miss my quilty stuff!!!!

I’m taking a class at my LQS called One Block Wonder, and I’m getting ready to sew the blocks together. I also just finished adding sashing to the BOM quilt ‘Cinnamon-teen’ on bomquilts.com. I’m in the middle of making postcards for a fabric swap and I need to mail 10″ squares in berry colors for a fabric swap. I have to add borders to 2 twin quilt for my mom. I have a small wall hanging that needs to be quilted. And I have a small Hawaiian quilt that’s ready to hand quilt. Oh, and I’m taking an online class working with different threads. Whew!

I’m busy taking on a new writing project on the Vertical Quilting Curve blog at 451 Press plus doing all my prior committments and working. But, blogging and writing for me has kept me doing the things I love. It is great motivation especially seeing what everyone else is doing.

I’m finishing up the binding on a Nine Patch Variation quilt for a friend’s birthday present. I have a Christmas wallhanging that I’ve been handquilting about a third done, six blocks from a BOM finished (When are we voting on the next block?), and am starting to assemble a pair of quilts for my grandsons. Since the first of the year, I’ve also completed work on three charity quilts, including my first one done on a longarm machine, made two quillows for wedding gifts, as well as a table runner and a tote bag.
