Terry Lynn Crawford (a female, despite the misleading spelling of the first name ending in ‘y’!) lives in the beautiful (and rural) foothills of the Ozark Mountains in northeastern Oklahoma. |
Terry is an avid quilter and designer and became addicted, err rather, interested in quilting quite literally by accident in 1993 when she suffered an injury that left her pretty much immobile for approximately nine (9) months.
After the first couple of months, her boredom was driving her, and her entire family, insane. Terry’s mother (knowing how much her oldest daughter hated to sew!) decided it was time Terry learned to quilt and, since she was limited to staying in bed at the time, it was to be done by hand-piecing. Although very apprehensive (strong emphasis on the word “very”), Terry was bored enough to give it a shot and quickly became passionate about quilting. Within a few months she was not satisfied with making standard quilts with patterns that everyone had access to, so, using her mathematics background, she began designing her own creations so that her work was unique and appealing to quilters of all levels of expertise.
In more than one sense, Terry is truly a “Quilter by Design”.
