Welcome to Quilting By Design!
Good day, everyone! I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Staff Writer for this site.
You will notice some remarkable changes over the next few days that I am sure you will love.
Some of the modifications and enhancements include:
- Current trends and news regarding quilting,
- New patterns and projects uniquely designed for users of this site,
- Tutorials, FAQs, Articles, etc. that are geared toward quilting,
- Helpful information to improve your skills as a quilter AND designer, no matter what level of expertise you are,
- And much more!
Feel free to share ideas and/or suggestions, or even contact me privately, as to what you would like to see on this site also… and please, excuse the virutal dust as I reorganize the site and make it more navigational for you.
I am looking forward to providing you with enough eye-candy to make your head spin, your sewing machines running at full speed and keep you coming back for more!

Welcome Terry! It’s great to have you here, and I look forward to seeing what you’ll have for us

Thank you for the welcome!
I have so many ideas that I don’t even know where to start. But, that’s a good thing. The first item on my agenda is to develop a plan of how I want this site organized. I know of many things I’m going to do, like offering patterns, mystery quilts, tips and techniques, reviews, information, etc., and I am excited about getting started.
I also welcome comments on things that viewers/readers would like to see, also!

Congratulations on the new position, Terry! I know you’ll do great things here.
I have one thought on the design of the site. When we browse from the main page to an article, there is no way to go easily jump directly back to the main page without editing the URL. Maybe you could include a “Home” link somewhere on the top of each page? Just a simple thought LOL.

Val, it doesn’t show it, but if you click on the Quilting By Design logo at the top of the page, it takes you back to the Home Page. It doesn’t *look* like a clickable link, yet it is.
We’ll get this figured out, I’m sure!

Aha! I see! You’re right, because my mouse pointer didn’t change to the “this is a clickable link” pointer, I didn’t think I could click on it… so I didn’t.
Thanks for pointing that out!

This will be a fun gig, Terry. It is a subject you love, doing what you love. Can’t lose! Congratualtions!

Welcome to your new gig…*S*
I’ll be checking in here all the time to see what you’re up to. I can use every little tip I can get to make me a better quilter.
Appliqué tips will be a “good thing” for me.

Sequana, I plan on writing up an article this week on appliqué, so you’re in luck there!
debf618, Thanks for the welcome! I am hoping that the regular folks start dropping in and offering suggestions on what they’d like to see. I have a ton of things on my list to put here, but I’m always open for suggestions.

Welcome, Terry! I don’t quilt, but I like looking at quilts and thinking about possibly quilting someday.
Your blog is off to a great start.

Welcome Terry, and what a fine start you’ve made to the blog! Judging by what you’ve already achieved, i think this will be a very successful blog and your tenure here will be long and happy

Thanks, Dave! As you probably already know, it’s easy to talk about something that you’re passionate about… and for me, that’s quilting. Plus, it doesn’t hurt to be a chatterbox, to boot.
